Toga Party 2012

So after thursday's CDF (Christian Dental Fellowship) lunch, Marlene convinced me to go to the toga party organised by both UQ and QUT.

It was mainly for freshmen and supposingly the world's largest toga party o.o

I think they did break the record, because the last's was only about 2000 or something.

It was pretty disappointing when it rained. Nip and I tried everything from the dance floor to the jumping castle....ye the castle was horrible in the rain...

Anyhow, we stayed on the lawn for a bit and met some interstates students who also preferred chilling around :)

We left riverstage pretty early and walked back to the city in the rain.

It was pretty fun cos we chatted along the way about what we thought of the party.

(It just wasn't really our thing, but was sure quite some experience. :P)

Then we decided to clean ourselves in the David Jones ladies and went for a tete-a-tete at The Tea Centre next to Vapiano's

I had honeybush berry while Nip had....citron?

Anyways, it was fun. Never knew that Nip's dream was to open a tea slash bookshop :) While mine is of course, an ultimate cake shop. We agreed that we should combine. :)

Jet Lag

I miss Mum and Dad now...it's 00:00 already and I still can't sleep.

Ye I know, turning on the pc doesn't resolve the problem either.

But who cares :(...I miss Jacob too..

We'd hold hands and fall asleep like 3..2..1..

Just like that. :(

And ye, never realised how dark nighttime actually is in Aus...

The moment I fell back on my bed I literally felt a black wall was pushing against me.

Humidity not helping either.

Short to Long

Hey people! So in the beginning of this holiday, I got Jono to buy me some hair extensions off Ebay.

That was three months ago so they looked pretty bad on me, cos my hair was still pretty short.

So I was just like, "MEH. What a waste of my money -shoves into closet-."

Then until yesterday I picked them up again, and realised they turned wavy-ish.

And I was like, "Woahhhh, they look pretty goood!"

So I thought maybe I should wear them in uni. But then I was like,

"nahhhh everybody knows I have short hair.............................but they look so goooooood!"

So that's when I kakaotalked Zoe straight away, cos she's like....

.... the HAIR QUEEN.

Anyways,

I showed her a photo and we both agreed...

that extensions is the way to go!!

Valentines Day

Gooooood Valentines morning!

I hope everyone gets a good Valentines today, whether you are spending it with love ones or with friends!

Most of you probably know that I like any festive days, because they give me great excuses for creating and gifting.

Nowadays it doesn't matter if you don't have a boyfriend or girlfriend. You can still give heart shaped chocolates/teddy bears to your friends!

As for me,

I've made these cute little chocolates for my mummy:

Grand Marnier truffles & Pistachio White Choc mountains.

Of course I made a lot more than that, but I like how things look more special when they are put into pretty boxes or wrappings.

Oh. By the way, this is the first Valentine's that I get to spend in Hong Kong since I've moved to Brisbane. I can't believe how intense the Valentines atmosphere is in here! Like advertisements going off everywhere about this day and girls packed in super stores all going crazy over instant chocolate mixes!!!

Anyways, I will be going now for a bake ware spree now and I might capture a photo of the shopping mall if I go there today!

Lan Tau

This was also the day when we took a boat and saw beautiful pink dolphins!
That day the sea was so rough and the surface was so windy that I didn't believe we could see them. When we caught glimpse of silvery pearl and pinkish backs of those little dolphins, we were all shouting like little kids!

How lucky we were!
