Marshmallow

Today is the first day of my holiday and sadly, I woke up at 6 o'clock. I think I got used to it, because I always had to wake up early for school.

ANYWAYS, I hope those who tried my marshmallows liked them. (: I made a second batch last night for my aunt, and here is the recipe:

What you need:
-1 1/2 cups sugar
-2 tbsp gelatine powder
-shredded coconut
-electric mixer

1. Combine sugar with 2/3 cup of hot water in a pot and boil untill the mixture turns to a clear syrup.
2. Combine gelatine powder with 2/3 cup of cold water, and pour mixture into the syrup. Cook until both are well combined, forming no clumps.
3. Set mixture aside to cool. (Approximately 30mins)
4. Beat on high with an electric mixer for 10-15mins, untill the mixture is thick.
5. Pour mixture into a 25 x 25 container and chill in fridge for 20-30mins. (It might take longer, depends on how thick the mixture is)
6. Take out mixture from fringe and cut into squares.
7. Spoon out marshmellow squares carefully and toss them in a coconut-filled container.
8. ENJOY!

Note: You might like to try dribbling melted chocolate on top, or adding food colouring to the marshmellows!!

WELL, I'm going to have breakfast now, BYEBYE!

I am so happy

One more day of school, but it feels like holiday already. Today after school, I paid a visit to the supermarket, because I wanted to make marshmellows. They are chilling in the friDge at the moment. I hope that they will turn out well and set properly. :/

ANYWAYS, I was extremely bored in English today. I didn't feel like doing what I was told to, after finishing a stressful chemistry exam. Instead of writing a twenty-lines english dialogue, Zoe and I drew pictures:

Oh, physics was as equally boring:

HAPPY EASTER!!!!
BYEBYE

p.s. I love Hello Kitty.

Omelette

AGAIN, dinner was awkward with just the two of us. I tend to think about something else when I eat.

ANYWAYS,due to a lack of ingredients at home, I made the ULTIMATE JESSICA OMELETTE RICE. I think I did a pretty good job on it, despite the fact that it was only my first attempt.making-sweetness Everything was quite perfect, apart from the curry, which was a bit messy.

Here's a photo of my dish:

Quite an easy dish to make, after the exhaustion of a never-ending physics assignment. There are many other different versions of this dish as well, so I made my own, according to what I had in my kitchen.

The Ultimate Jessica Omelette Rice

What you need:
-Curry powder
-Indian neighbour (they give you the powder)
-Water, all purpose flour, soysauce
-2 large eggs
-Canned corn
-Canned champignons
-Canned tuna (I suggest you not to pick something silly like tuna in sweet chilli. In this case, I picked smoked)
-Rice
-Chopped parsley

You might try with a white creamy sauce, instead of using curry, or maybe beef instead of tuna. What you put in is really up to you. Get Creative! :D

1. Cook your rice.
2. While waiting for the rice, slice the champinons, and drain out the corn juice.
3. Mix a generous amount of all purpose flour with tap water, until no clumps are formed. The mixture should have the colour of milk.
4. In a pot, bring a small amount of water to boil.
5. Add in few spoonfuls of curry powder.
6. Gently pour the flour mixture into the pot and stir with a mixing spoon. Simmer over the stove.
7. Add in soy sauce, until you think it's the right colour. You might as well add a pinch of salt, according to your own taste.

I had never made curry like this before, so I added a bit of everything from my kitchen. I have no idea why I added fish sauce. :(

8. Throw in the champignons and stir.
9. *DING* You rice should be done by now. Stir in the tuna and corn.
10. Crack your eggs into a bowl, and whisk.
11. Grease a large pan, pour in your eggs and make your omelette.
12. Wrap the rice into the omelette on a prepared plate
13. Spoon the mushroom curry on top and sprinkle with parsley.
14. Enjoy!

A tip for your omelette:
-It is best to set your stove on low, so that the egg is fully cooked without getting burnt. It is quite difficult to flip your omelette when it is too runny.

Well, have fun! :DDD

Wednesday, March 24, 2010

Hello, I had a busy tuesday and thursday, while i studied maths, so I did not blog. Not that my days were anything close to fun and interesting anyway, but boring and tiresome. However, I guess the studying really paid off. I think I did pretty well on my tests on wednesday, and I got some marks back as well. (:
I still have a chemistry and a Math C exam tomorrow, so wish me luck and pray for me, people!

ANYWAYS, I bought my dinner at the city today. It took me awhile to decide what to eat, untill I came across to the sushi place next to the Starbucks outside David Jones. Oh my god, MUSHROOM SUSHI:

I know the thought of mushrooms PLUS sushi sounds pretty disgusting, BUT IT IS SOOOOO DELICIOUS. The crunchy sensation of mushrooms, pickled in sweet soy sauce, then wrapped around in inari bean curd is a genius. It's worth a try, nothing like a fancy delicacy, just $2.00 each. (:

ANYWAYS, how would you feel if SHE sits next to you in maths?

Hayley laughed through the whole lesson on this.
We love Chae's phone's photo editing function. You can also make people go...

"What's wrong with my face?" as well.

ANYWAYS, I got a bit freaked out by the boy who sat behind me in english today. He wouldn't stop banging on the table. I guess he was mentally challenged. Well, look what Zoe drew me during the lesson:

It is simply the way she expresses love.

Oh, the second part:

Thank you, Zoe. (:

Okay, I better get going and study for tomorrow, BYE BYE.

Harmony day

I feel so relieved now, even though I still have the MAP for maths on wednesday. For the past 45 minutes, I've been practicing for tomorrow's Japanese test, and so my throat is pretty much dried up. I usually don't study as much during the exam week, but the week before that. (That's why I have spare time to blog right now) I think my head tends to work better during an exam, when I don't have too much being squashed up in it.

Well ANYWAYS, today was Harmony Day, and so..
HAPPY HARMONY DAY!
Oh, by the way, it was nice to see that they have included the Hong Kong flag this year in assembly.
(Yes, for those of you who do not know me well, I'm from Hong Kong.)

It's nice how you can show off your national pride in a foreign country with a cheapo $5 shirt :DD

ANYWAYS, my friend and I had so much fun during lunch time today. We some how came up with the idea of secretly sticking harmony stickers on randoms' bums. Also, we made false eyebrows out of the remaining bits on the sheet. Oh yeah..they were extremely gorgeous. No need glue like the false lashes, no mess. Anyways, it was a joke. A bit embarrassing when I used the D block window as a mirror to "apply" them. I didn't realise the people in there could see me! :(

I played with my camera again.

Good luck to all

OHMYGOD i feel so sad.. now everyone knows I can't spell 'neighbour' after reading my last blog. )))))):

ANYWAYS, since it will be the exam week from tomorrow, here's a little something for you guys..

The Japanese characters say "sapootaa"..
The Supporter Froggy!!!

Okay, good night.

DUDEEEEEE

It's like total embarrassment when someone is introduced into your room the only time when it's messy!!

Yer, my neibours just left. We had them in our house from 7pm till just now (11pm??).

MY Neibour,Colon:
-he's turning 73 this year
-he's so cool that he travels in his caravan around australia
-his house currenly lives his daughter and her boyfriend
-he used to mow our lawn
-and I liked that idea very much

Well, my aunt made a typical roast for dinner. Colon had his lady friend with him and she brought chocolate bavarian for desset. The adults' conversations started from healthy talks of the local area to a bitching session about our neibour at the rear who has parties at 1am on the weekends, with LOUD LOUD LOUD music.

ANYWAYS, overall it was lovely, but the old man gave me a BIG kiss on the cheek when he said bye. eww :( I'm so not used to that..

ANYWAYS, suah bought jono BB cream from korea (yer weird), and my brother says I can use it..the logo is just soooo pretty, but I swear I'll get a massive pimple outbreak if I use it.

Oh yeah, this is the stuff that burnt my face last time. I THOUGHT I HAD TO GET PLASTIC SURGERY. Lucky I was, the dead skin pilled off and it was all fine, but I guess I just have sensitive skin. Vico uses tea tree and her skin is like perfect :/
